At the touch of a button, the downdraft extractor is raised and activated ready for use. Cooking vapours and odours are removed immediately by the downdraft system. When the extractor is no longer needed, it simply disappears into the worktop again at the light touch of a button.
Miele's height-adjustable “Varia” ventilation hood solves an age-old problem: install the hood too high and it will not extract vapors effectively; install it too low and you will not see the cooktop properly and the kitchen will look out of proportion. A “Varia” model ventilation hood from Miele glides up and down by up to 11 3/4" (30 cm) at the push of a button. This allows the hood to be set to the ergonomically correct height for any user. And you can see what you are doing while still being able to see around the kitchen.
When the Miele Aura 4.0 Ambient Island Ventilation Hood is switched off, the wings nestle closely around the round hood canopy. When you switch the ventilation hood on, the wings open mechanically and form an elegant oval shape. This transformation creates more space inside the the vapor capture chamber – meaning even more cooking vapors can be absorbed. The integrated vapor guiding elements in the wings support optimal suction.
