JAN HECK ELECTED AS CHAIRMAN OF NATIONAL KITCHEN & BATH ASSOCIATION’S BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Miele USA President Appointed to Support Kitchen and Bath Design and Remodeling Industry
Miele, the largest family-owned German premium appliance manufacturer, has announced that its US President and CEO, Jan Heck has been elected as Chair of the National Kitchen & Bath Association’s (NKBA) 2023 Board of Directors, effective January 1, 2023. Heck succeeds Basil E. Larkin, Senior Vice President of Sales at Hestan Commercial Corp.
“In my third year on the National Kitchen & Bath Association board, I am truly honored to take on the Chairman role,” said Jan Heck. “As Chairman, I will do everything in my power to ensure that the Board effectively supports the objectives and goals of the NKBA.”

With more than 20 years in the kitchen and bath industry in North America, Jan Heck has served as president and CEO of Miele USA since 2016. He oversees overall operations of the company’s consumer and professional use appliance and floor care products, which includes management of 10 Miele Experience Centers across the U.S. Prior to his US leadership, Jan Heck assumed the role of President of Miele Canada in April 1999. During his tenure, the company became the leading appliance brand in Canada and had grown sales by more than 400%. Previous to Miele, Jan Heck had multiple leadership roles including President of Bizerba Canada and Managing Director of Bizerba UK, a global leader in weighing technology. He is also the chairman of the board of the German American Chamber Commerce New York.
Heck and the other members of the Board have firsthand experience in the global marketplace and are invaluable to the growth of NKBA and its Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS), which runs from January 30 – February 2, 2023, in Las Vegas.
