Miele Continues Partnership with Chef Kyle and Katina Connaughton for ThroughLine by SingleThread
Michelin-Star Restaurant to Create a Cinematic Dining Experience to Celebrate a Shared Commitment to Sustainable Sourcing, Craftsmanship and Stewardship
Miele, the world’s leading manufacturer of premium domestic appliances, announces the continued partnership with husband and wife duo, Chef Kyle Connaughton and head farmer, Katina Connaughton of SingleThread, Sonoma County’s acclaimed, first and only 3 Michelin-starred restaurant and one of the World’s 50 Best, as a sponsor of ThroughLine by SingleThread. This cinematic dining experience, taking shape through a seasonal residency, has been designed to deepen connections with our food systems and immerse guests in a culinary journey.
ThroughLine will immerse diners in the stories of the farms, fisheries, and artisans that sustain us, celebrating a shared commitment to sustainable sourcing, craftsmanship and stewardship. Guests will enjoy a 12-course Omakase-inspired culinary journey paired with a film series by Emmy-nominated Director Justin Taylor Smith, with each film intended as an exploration of the ingredients and artisanal practices that inspire each course.
Miele most recently partnered with Chef Kyle and Katina in 2023, collaborating for the brand’s “Stories From Our Only Home,” video series, which showcases the shared commitment to longevity, craftsmanship, sustainability, and continuous improvement. The next chapter of this partnership will elevate the immersive visual storytelling approach, by bringing those same shared values to ThroughLine, which aims to bring people closer to the stories behind the culinary journey.
“We knew at the onset that our partnership with Chef Kyle was going to be a long-term one, based on the fact that our core beliefs were so aligned,” said Søren Rye, President and CEO, Miele USA and Mexico. “Miele believes in Chef Kyle’s mission to provide an unparalleled dining experience, with sustainability and craftsmanship at the forefront. When presented with the opportunity to join ThroughLine, we were thrilled to have a seat at the table and help tell these stories.”
Each evening will feature an intimate, 14-seat omakase-style setting, matching culinary excellence with storytelling designed to enrich the dining experience. ThroughLine by SingleThread’s residency will kick off in Park City, UT at The Lodge at Blue Sky, Auberge Resorts Collection on February 13, 2025 and run for select dates throughout the month. In April 2025, the residency will travel to both New York City, as well as Wildflower Farms, Auberge Resorts Collection in Hudson Valley, NY. Additional corporate sponsors of the residency include OpenTable and Audi.
"ThroughLine gives our guests a closer look at the stories behind the dishes we create at SingleThread," said Kyle Connaughton. “Through a cinematic lens, we want to share the journey of the ingredients before they reach the kitchen. It starts at our farm and each film introduces the people and partnerships that contribute to each dish. It's all about connecting our guests to our food systems, ingredients, and the dedicated work and collaboration that goes into every experience we create."
