Miele Debuts Matte Black Generation 7000 ArtLine Appliances
Built-in, Handleless Appliances to be offered in Elegant, Modern Finish
Following the introduction of its Generation 7000 built-in cooking appliances, Miele, the world’s largest manufacturer of premium domestic appliances, has now added a new colorway to its handleless ArtLine design line. Miele will debut a new Obsidian Matte Black design for a modern, elegant look in any kitchen at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show (KBIS) in Las Vegas from February 27-29, 2024.
The Generation 7000 series of appliances includes Convection Ovens, Combi-Steam Ovens, warming and vacuum sealing drawers, and a built-in coffee machine. This new color will be featured on the handleless ArtLine product assortment. The appearance is characterized by full-surface glass fronts with integrated displays, providing a sleek and unobtrusive look.
These built-in products will also be complemented by Matte Black panels for fully integrated dishwashers with Knock2Open technology.
“Black is timelessly elegant and complements virtually all kitchen designs,” said Kelly Lam, Vice President, Marketing, Miele USA. “We’ve seen that black surface finishes are in high demand – they blend seamlessly with dark cabinetry or stand out as an accent with lighter styles. We are excited to offer this new color to designers and our customers.”
The ArtLine appliances are handleless and respond to a tap on a sensor integrated into the control panel (Touch2Open). This activates a motor to unlock the door, which then glides open and is cushioned at its lowest point. The door features the new color both visually and haptically as the glass surface has a velvety feel to it. This also creates a frame around the viewing window which now features a more spacious grid of lines.
The new series of Matte Black Generation 7000 ArtLine built-in appliances will launch in Q2 2024 at Miele dealers nationwide at pricing aligned with other ArtLine models.
