Coffee machine not switching on

The coffee machine does not switch on when the On/Off  control or is pressed.

The coffee machine electronic is in idle mode.

When the coffee machine is commissioned for the first time or if it has not been operated for a while, the electronic may be in idle mode. This means that the electronic will not respond when the On/Off control is pressed briefly.

To take the electronic out of idle mode and start the coffee machine, touch the On/Off  sensor control or for approx. 10 seconds.

Countertop appliances with a power switch: The power switch/main switch on the coffee machine is set to 0.

The power switch/main switch can be found at the bottom of the coffee machine on the left or right side, depending on the model.

Set the power switch to I.

The electrical plug is not properly plugged into the socket.

Insert the electrical plug into the socket.

The breaker has tripped.

The breaker can be tripped by the coffee machine, the voltage supply, or another faulty appliance.

Contact a qualified electrician or Miele Service.
