Dishware not clean (G 7xxx)

The dishware in the dishwasher is not clean after the rinse (G 7xxx).

The dishware was not loaded correctly. Items of dishware cover each other.

Load the dishware so that water can access all surfaces.

Items are blocking the path of the spray arms.

Rearrange the items so that the spray arms can rotate freely.

The program was not powerful enough.

Select a stronger program.

Activate the Extra clean function (depending on the model).

Activate the 2nd interim rinse function (depending on the model).

Not enough detergent was dispensed.

Use more detergent during manual dispensing or change the detergent you are using.

Use the AutoDos function (depending on the model). AutoDos automatically dispenses the right quantity of detergent. Increase the dosage for automatic dispensing under “Settings”.

An unsuitable detergent was used.

Use detergent without combination products and ensure you refill the dishwasher salt and rinse aid.

For thorough and gentle cleaning of glasses, dishware, and cutlery, Miele recommends using Miele products.

The filter combination in the wash cabinet is clogged.

Sample illustrations

Clean the filter combination as follows:

  • Turn off the dishwasher.

  • Rotate the screw thread of the lower spray arm counterclockwise  (when viewed from above). Pull the spray arm upward  to remove it.

  • Before removing the filter combination, remove any coarse soiling to prevent it from entering the circulation system.

  • Remove the filter combination.

  • Pulling the microfilter downward and away from the filter combination with the plastic ring | Miele dishwashers
  • In order to clean the inside of the filter, pull the microfilter downward and away from the filter combination by gripping the plastic ring.

  • Rinse all the parts under running water.
    Use a soft cleaning brush to remove soiling.

  • Insert the microfilter back into the filter combination.

  • Reinstall the filter combination so that it lies flat in the base of the wash chamber.

  • Reattach the lower spray arm to the filter combination using the screw thread.

  • Rotating the screw connection clockwise | Inserting the spray arm | Miele dishwashers
  • Rotate the screw thread clockwise until the arrow in the viewing window points to the lock symbol .

The spray arms are clogged.

Turn off the dishwasher.

Remove the spray arms as follows:

  • Take out the cutlery tray (if your dishwasher is fitted with one).

  • Pushing up and rotating the upper spray arm counterclockwise | Removing the spray arm | Miele dishwashers
  • Push the upper spray arm upward  to engage the inner ratchet. Unscrew the spray arm counterclockwise  (when viewed from below).

  • Rotating the screw thread of the middle spray arm clockwise | Removing the spray arm | Miele dishwashers
  • Rotate the screw thread of the middle spray arm clockwise  (when viewed from above). Remove the spray arm .

  • Rotate the screw thread of the lower spray arm counterclockwise  (when viewed from above). Pull the spray arm upward  to remove it.

Use a pointed object to push food particles that are stuck in the spray arm jets into the spray arm.

Reinstall the spray arms and check that they rotate freely.

The drain pump is blocked by foreign objects.

Clean the drain pump as follows:

  • Disconnect the dishwasher from the power supply. To do this, turn off the dishwasher and unplug the electrical plug.

  • Remove the filter combination from the wash cabinet (see above).

  • Scoop the water out of the wash cabinet using a small container.

  • Press the catch of the drain pump cover inward .

  • Tip the cover inward to release it .

  • Rinse the cover thoroughly under running water. Remove all foreign objects.

  • The drain pump (see arrow) is underneath the cover.

  • Risk of injury from glass splinters.

    It is especially difficult to see glass splinters in the drain pump.

    Take care when cleaning the drain pump.

  • Carefully remove any foreign objects from the drain pump. Check the drain pump impeller by manually turning it. You will feel a little resistance when you turn the impeller.

  • Reinstall the cover by pushing down.

Ensure that the catch engages correctly.

Damage due to incorrect cleaning.

The components are delicate and can be damaged during cleaning.

Take care when cleaning the drain pump.
