Boiler intake fault

Boiler intake fault appears in the steam ironing system display.

The water container is not recognized by the steam ironing system or is not inserted properly.

Switch the steam ironing system off.

To unclip the water container from the retainer, pull down the handle.

Pull the water container upward and out.

Turn the rotary cap on the back of the water container to the left and lift the cap.

Tilt the water container into a horizontal position and fill it with fresh water (approx. 60–95°F (15–35°C)).

Replace the rotary cap in the water container and turn it to the right as far as it will go.

Put the water container back in place.

Switch the steam ironing system on.

Once the steam generator has cooled down, it is emptied automatically. Then the steam generator is automatically refilled and becomes ready to produce steam.

The water filter is dirty.

You can tell if the water filter is dirty because the pumping noises coming from the water feed pump will become more frequent.

Remove the electrical plug from the socket before starting any work.

To unclip the water container from the retainer, pull down the handle.

Pull the water container upward and out.

Use a crosshead screwdriver to undo the screw for the water filter cover and lift up the cover to remove it.

There is a hook on the water filter cover. Use the hook to pull the sealing ring up and out of the socket on the right.

There is a round retainer tool on the water filter cover. Press the round retainer tool onto the water filter from above.

The round tool clicks into the water filter.

Pull the water filter out of the socket.

Detach the water filter from the round retainer tool.

Clean the water filter thoroughly under running water.

Insert the water filter with its sealing ring pointing downward.

Press the water filter fully into the right-hand socket.

The sealing ring has a top and a bottom. There is a narrow groove on the bottom.

Insert the sealing ring with the groove pointing downward.

Insert the sealing ring.

Place the water filter cover over the socket.

Tighten the screw with a Phillips screwdriver.

Place the water container back into the retainer in the tower.

The water filter is missing.
The water filter is damaged.

Please contact Miele Customer Service to order a new water filter.

There is a fault with the steam system.

Switch the steam ironing system off and back on again.

After the cooling phase, the steam ironing system carries out a rinse function and attempts to correct the fault itself. The cooling phase can take up to 3 hours.

Remove the residual water drawer if you are prompted to do so by the appropriate message in the display.

Empty and dry the residual water drawer.

Push the residual water drawer back into the tower until it clicks into place.

The feed pump is defective.

If you do not hear any running noises from the feed pump, contact Miele Customer Service. Inform Miele Customer Service that no noise can be heard from the feed pump.

The float switch in the rear wall of the water container cannot move freely.

Check that the float switch is moving freely by turning or shaking the water container. If this is not the case, contact Miele Customer Service

The water filter sealing ring is porous or dilated.
The water filter sealing ring is inserted incorrectly.

Remove the sealing ring; see remedy 2.

Change the water filter sealing ring or insert it correctly.
