Food sinks after baking

The food sinks after baking in the oven.

The food was not cooked for long enough.

Extend the cooking duration. If the food is already very dark, reduce the temperature by 25-50°F (10–20°C).

Sinking is normal for quark cakes. After baking, leave the cake to stand in the switched-off oven for another 5 minutes to prevent it from sinking so much.
