Electronic ignition device not working

The ignitor on the gas cooktop burner does not function properly.

There is food residue stuck between the ignitor and the burner cap.

Carefully remove this food residue. If a gas burner is put out by food boiling over, it might not be possible to switch it back on for approx. 5 minutes for safety reasons (depending on the model).

The burner cap/head openings are dirty.

Clean the burner cap/head in accordance with the operating instructions.

The breaker in the building’s wiring system has tripped.

If it has, contact a qualified electrician or Miele Service.
