Flame is extinguished
The flame goes out on the gas cooktop after being lit.
The gas burner was lit using a low setting. The flame was blown out by a draft.
Use a higher setting when lighting the gas burner. Stop the draft.
The ignition safety device is not getting hot enough.
Once the gas has ignited, keep holding the knob for another 8 seconds or so. Please push the knob in again slightly before releasing it.
The burner is dirty.
Clean the burner in accordance with the operating instructions.
